The “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns has taken a significant step back from the spotlight of professional wrestling following his stunning defeat to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40. Reigns’ reign of dominance saw him hold the WWE Universal Championship for an incredible 1,316 days and the WWE Championship for an additional 735 days. After this legendary run came to an end, Reigns decided to take a well-deserved break from the ring. However, his absence has sparked intense speculation among WWE fans about the timing of his highly anticipated return.

According to PWInsider Elite, Reigns’ comeback is not just a possibility but is expected to happen soon. Insiders within WWE anticipate Reigns to be back by SummerSlam, scheduled for August 3. This means there are plans for him to reappear on an episode of “WWE SmackDown” in the weeks leading up to the major event in Cleveland. As of now, there are only three “SmackDown” shows left before SummerSlam, suggesting that Reigns could make his return on either July 19 or July 26.

During Reigns’ hiatus, the dynamics within The Bloodline have undergone dramatic shifts. For context, Reigns was accompanied by Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman during his match against Rhodes in April. In just three months, only Sikoa remains by Reigns’ side. Shortly after WrestleMania 40, Jimmy Uso was expelled from the group and replaced by the formidable Tama Tonga, who attacked Uso upon his arrival. Tonga was later joined by his brother Tonga Loa, who made his debut at the Backlash event in France. The arrival of the former IWGP Tag Team Champions was followed by Jacob Fatu’s long-awaited debut, where he became the latest member of The Bloodline, aiding Sikoa in ousting Heyman at Madison Square Garden.
