This is a stacked card with a lot of potential for great matches. I’m particularly excited for the Steel Cage Match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus, the World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura, and the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match between Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn and The Judgment Day.
Here are my predictions for the 2023 WWE Payback match card from a wrestling fan point of view:
Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus (Steel Cage Match)
As a wrestling fan, I’m so excited for this match! Lynch is one of my favorite wrestlers, and Stratus is a legend. I can’t wait to see them go head-to-head in a Steel Cage Match.
I think Lynch will win this match, but it won’t be easy. Stratus is a tough opponent, and she’s not going to give up without a fight. I expect this match to be a classic.
Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (World Heavyweight Championship)
This is another match that I’m really looking forward to. Rollins is one of the best wrestlers in the world, and Nakamura is a master of Japanese wrestling. This should be a great match.
I think Rollins will retain his title, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Nakamura won. Nakamura is a very dangerous opponent, and he’s always a threat to win.
Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Rodriguez (Women’s World Championship)
This is a match that I’m not sure about. Ripley is the current champion, but Rodriguez is a rising star who is not afraid to take risks. I think this match could go either way.
I’m leaning towards Ripley winning this match, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Rodriguez pulled off an upset. Rodriguez is a very talented wrestler, and she’s definitely on the rise.
Gunther vs. Chad Gable (Intercontinental Championship)
This is a match that I’m really looking forward to. Gunther is a powerhouse, while Gable is a technical wrestler. This should be a very different match from the other title matches on the card.
I think Gunther will retain his title, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Gable won. Gable is a very talented wrestler, and he’s always a threat to win.
LA Knight vs. The Miz (Grudge Match)
This is a match that is sure to be full of trash talk and insults. Knight and Miz are both great at getting under their opponents’ skin, and it should make for a very entertaining match.
I think Knight will win this match. He’s the more popular wrestler, and he’s been getting the better of Miz in recent weeks.
Rey Mysterio vs. Austin Theory (United States Championship)
This is another match that I’m really looking forward to. Mysterio is a veteran who is known for his high-flying moves, while Theory is a rising star who is not afraid to take risks. This should be a very exciting match.
I think Theory will win this match. He’s the future of WWE, and he’s going to need to start winning some big matches if he wants to be taken seriously.
Overall, I think this is a great card for WWE Payback. There are a lot of exciting matches, and I can’t wait to see how they play out.
